MoU Signing Ceremony for Research and Testing of Organic Fertilizer Suitable for the Australian Market

On June 27, 2024, the Centre for Sustainable Bioproducts (CSB), a unit of Deakin University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bioway Vietnam to collaborate on research and testing of organic fertilizer tailored for the Australian market.

CSB is a center focused on developing innovative methods to convert organic waste (biomass) into high-value, sustainable bioproducts. It provides industry partners with opportunities to test and innovate new processing technologies at pilot-scale production.

At the signing ceremony, Bioway Vietnam committed to supplying and maintaining machinery and equipment—especially those related to the AT-6H technology—necessary for the research and testing of organic fertilizer. The company will also provide technical expertise and training on operation and maintenance to ensure smooth research progress.

This marks a breakthrough in the production and application of organic fertilizer, with the introduction of the A-T rapid fermentation technology developed by Bioway Organic INC USA. This technology utilizes a type of microorganism originally found in volcanic seabeds, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures ranging from -36°C to 180°C.

Bioway Vietnam will provide ongoing technical support throughout the research process, assist in troubleshooting, and optimize the use of AT-6H technology to achieve the best research outcomes.

On the CSB side, the center will design and conduct scientific experiments to evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of the organic fertilizer for the Australian market. This includes developing experimental procedures, collecting data, analyzing results, and recording findings. Additionally, CSB will support Bioway in reaching potential commercial partners in Australia to commercialize successful research results, and help develop business models and strategies to enter the market and distribute organic fertilizer products across Australia.

The partnership between Bioway Vietnam and the Centre for Sustainable Bioproducts (CSB) marks the beginning of a joint journey to engage in research and development projects for organic fertilizer.
